Eco-chic is the best way to describe the look and feel of Hotel Indigo. Subtle colors like rich creams, vibrant whites, silvery blues, seafoam greens, and pale pinks are perfectly complemented by the vibrancy of rust orange accents and patterns. Rich dark wood paneling and chocolate wicker furniture bring it all together. With its focus on being extremely Eco friendly you’ll find many of the walls adorned with abstract pieces depicting the colors of the solar system, beautiful woods, and stunning beaches, among other natural wonders. The high design style effortlessly intertwines modern technologies and state-of-the-art equipment from the hi-tech business center and meeting spaces to the well-equipped gym. One of the best aspects to this boutique hotel is that it also treats your furry friends with the upmost care. Whether you come solo or with the family, for business or pleasure, Hotel Indigo welcomes you.
Rooms and Suites
Much like the rest of Hotel Indigo, their guest rooms are unapologetically chic and stylish. The same beautiful blends of ocean inspired undertones mixed with vibrant colors of the solar system ignite the room. Large windows let light fill the space while providing unparalleled views of the downtown skyline, Petco Park, and San Diego Bay.
The bathrooms are equally stunning with dark wood trim and cabinetry, marble counter tops, and glassed-in showers. Hotel Indigo takes pride in its guestroom designs and the amenities it offers; they aim to be more than just a place to store your suitcase. They believe where you lay your head at night should have all the comforts of home with the sophistication only a boutique hotel can provide.
Guests can choose from three room options – the Superior King, the Queen Queen, and the Deluxe View. The Superior King is perfect for two with one king size bed. The Queen Queen accommodates up to four adults with two queen beds. The Deluxe View rooms offer a choice of either one king bed or two queen beds; these rooms are set apart by their fabulous views.
Every guestroom offers designer furnishings, plush bedding, and signature amenities; suites also have large sunken tubs. Guestrooms are technology friendly and include a Keurig coffeemaker, iHome alarm radio, multi-line phone, 37″ plasma HDTV, free wireless Internet, and a laptop safe. Guests can also enjoy cozy seating areas, double glazed windows that open, and in-room climate control.
Note: As part of Hotel Indigo’s LEED certification, drapes are pulled on unoccupied rooms to save energy, therefore your room may be dark when you arrive. Opening windows instead of running air conditioning is an option at this green hotel.
Table 509 Bar & Kitchen is Hotel Indigo’s restaurant. They’re literally serving day and night. Table 509 opens before you’ve finished last night’s dreams, so you can eat a nourishing breakfast before that early morning flight. Not in a hurry? Have a leisurely breakfast of chilaquiles with a signature Bloody Mary. They serve lunch, dinner, desserts, and spirits, so they’re open late too. The Mexican and seafood inspired menu offers dishes with seasonal locally sourced ingredients. Try the Baja fish tacos, or calamari served with roasted pineapple chili sauce. The stylish, contemporary, street-level restaurant is great for people watching too.
At the top of the nine-story Hotel Indigo, Level 9 Rooftop Bar and Lounge offers impressive, sweeping views of San Diego and PETCO Park. The trendy bar offers signature cocktails and locally crafted brews from Karl Straus Brewery. Level 9 serves selected items from Table 509 Bar & Kitchen. Happy Hours are around dinnertime daily, except Saturdays. Guests get reduced prices on domestic beers and select wines.

Hotel Indigo is a pet-friendly hotel that works closely with their partner, Furry Tales. Ask the concierge about Furry Tales pet packages, doggie daycare, and boarding options for when your pet can’t accompany you during your stay. The hotel’s pet policy does not require a deposit, but you must leave your cell phone number with the desk. Although the website states that housekeeping will not enter a room where your pet is left unattended, technically, the policy is that you may not leave your pet unattended in your room during your stay.
Other Hotel Indigo amenities include valet parking with in and out privileges, dry cleaning, a safe deposit box at the front desk, concierge services, 24-hour room service, banquet facilities, and event catering.

In 2004, the San Diego Padres moved into their brand new $450 million state-of-the-art stadium at Petco Park in East Village. The move ignited a revitalization of the neighborhood that brought it back to life. Of course, the best way to catch a Padres game is to purchase a ticket, but you can also watch it for a nominal fee at “Park at the Park” off K Street, or from Hotel Indigo’s Level 9 Rooftop Bar & Lounge. No matter which option you choose, take advantage of the bar’s pre-game specials!
It may seem strange to visit a library on vacation, but you’ll be amazed by the new San Diego Central Library in East Village. The multi-storied, domed, architectural wonder is a tribute to the newly revitalized neighborhood. There are docent guided architectural tours, as well as docent led general tours. The 3-D printing lab, art installations, and Qualcomm Dome Terrace make the trip worth it all on their own.
East Village is one of the premier shopping destinations in Downtown San Diego. Hip and urban boutique shops like Ma Cherie and Amy Rae Boutique offer high-end designer brand fashions, The Library Shop is a well curated book and gift shop, and Industry Showroom features local artists and their work. The bars and restaurants of reclaimed warehouses like Knotty Barrel, Basic, and Table No. 10, are can’t miss eateries in the Village.
Hotel Indigo promotionas have included doggie daycare specials, a bed and breakfast deal, business traveler perks, and a park and stay package. Check the website for promotions available during your stay.
