Hotel Indigo East Village Ambiance

Eco-chic is the best way to describe the look and feel of Hotel Indigo. Subtle colors like rich creams, vibrant whites, silvery blues, seafoam greens, and pale pinks are perfectly complemented by the vibrancy of rust orange accents and patterns. Rich dark wood paneling and chocolate wicker furniture bring it all together. With its focus on being extremely Eco friendly you’ll find many of the walls adorned with abstract pieces depicting the colors of the solar system, beautiful woods, and stunning beaches, among other natural wonders. The high design style effortlessly intertwines modern technologies and state-of-the-art equipment from the hi-tech business center and meeting spaces to the well-equipped gym. One of the best aspects to this boutique hotel is that it also treats your furry friends with the upmost care. Whether you come solo or with the family, for business or pleasure, Hotel Indigo welcomes you.

Hotel Indigo East Village Rooms and Suites

Much like the rest of Hotel Indigo, their guest rooms are unapologetically chic and stylish. The same beautiful blends of ocean inspired undertones mixed with vibrant colors of the solar system ignite the room. Large windows let light fill the space while providing unparalleled views of the downtown skyline, Petco Park, and San Diego Bay.

The bathrooms are equally stunning with dark wood trim and cabinetry, marble counter tops, and glassed-in showers. Hotel Indigo takes pride in its guestroom designs and the amenities it offers; they aim to be more than just a place to store your suitcase. They believe where you lay your head at night should have all the comforts of home with the sophistication only a boutique hotel can provide.

Guests can choose from three room options – the Superior King, the Queen Queen, and the Deluxe View. The Superior King is perfect for two with one king size bed. The Queen Queen accommodates up to four adults with two queen beds. The Deluxe View rooms offer a choice of either one king bed or two queen beds; these rooms are set apart by their fabulous views.

Every guestroom offers designer furnishings, plush bedding, and signature amenities; suites also have large sunken tubs. Guestrooms are technology friendly and include a Keurig coffeemaker, iHome alarm radio, multi-line phone, 37″ plasma HDTV, free wireless Internet, and a laptop safe. Guests can also enjoy cozy seating areas, double glazed windows that open, and in-room climate control.

Note: As part of Hotel Indigo’s LEED certification, drapes are pulled on unoccupied rooms to save energy, therefore your room may be dark when you arrive. Opening windows instead of running air conditioning is an option at this green hotel.

Hotel Indigo San Diego East Village Neighborhood

In 2004, the San Diego Padres moved into their brand new $450 million state-of-the-art stadium at Petco Park in East Village. The move ignited a revitalization of the neighborhood that brought it back to life. Of course, the best way to catch a Padres game is to purchase a ticket, but you can also watch it for a nominal fee at “Park at the Park” off K Street, or from Hotel Indigo’s Level 9 Rooftop Bar & Lounge. No matter which option you choose, take advantage of the bar’s pre-game specials!

It may seem strange to visit a library on vacation, but you’ll be amazed by the new San Diego Central Library in East Village. The multi-storied, domed, architectural wonder is a tribute to the newly revitalized neighborhood. There are docent guided architectural tours, as well as docent led general tours. The 3-D printing lab, art installations, and Qualcomm Dome Terrace make the trip worth it all on their own.

The Hotel Indigo is right next to the premier shopping of the Gaslamp Quarter. Hip and urban boutique shops like Ma Cherie and Amy Rae Boutique offer high-end designer brand fashions, The Library Shop is a well curated book and gift shop, and Industry Showroom features local artists and their work. The bars and restaurants of reclaimed warehouses like Knotty Barrel, Basic, and Table No. 10, are can’t miss eateries in the Village.
