Pendry Hotel is situated on J Street between 5thand 6thAvenues in Downtown San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter. Pendry Hotel Rooms/Suites

Pendry Hotel has 317 guestrooms, including 36 suites. The ocean-inspired accommodations reflect a California coastal aesthetic with muted hues of blue. The hotel combines style, convenience, and comfort with a chic design and relaxed ambiance.

Superior, Deluxe, Premier, and Grand rooms are all 350 square feet with either king bed and chaise lounge, or double queen bed options. Superior rooms have treetop street level views, Deluxe rooms overlook Downtown San Diego, Premier rooms offer city skyline views, and Grand rooms provide views of San Diego Bay.

All guestrooms have high end amenities that include luxury bedding by Fili D’oro, custom furnishings, large desk with a comfortable chair, 50-inch TV, fully stocked mini-bar, California coastal photographs adorning walls, Nixon speaker that’s bluetooth-enabled for streaming music, complementary Wi-Fi, and 24-hour room service. Luxury bathrooms have walk-in rain showers, marble countertops, and Waterworks spa products.

Suites at Pendry Hotel come in four styles – Executive, Deluxe, Corner, and Grand. They’re larger than guestrooms, ranging from 548 to 672 square feet. They have separate living and sleeping rooms, a superior mini-bar cabinet, and views of the San Diego skyline. Suites have the same amenities as guestrooms. Luxury Suites are 700 square feet and have a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows with dramatic San Diego Bay and cityscape views. They come in three options, Cabana Pool Suite, Gaslamp Quarter Suite, and Pendry Suite.

Hotel amenities are where Pendry Hotel differentiates itself from other hotels in its class from welcome beverages (alcoholic, or non-alcoholic) and bedside macaroons to the hotel’s six culinary and entertainment venues. These six restaurants and bars run the entire spectrum from casual to luxe. Lionfish is their street-level restaurant on 5thAvenue, serving modern coastal cuisine. Next door is Provisional, the hotel’s all-day eatery situated in a 20-foot-high, glass enclosed greenhouse with an epic grand chandelier, serving SoCal seasonal fare.

At the corner of 5thAvenue and J Street, the Pendry hotel’s street-level bar has a classic chic ambiance and serves cocktails, wine, and bar fare. Nason’s Beer Hall is Pendry’s street-level pub on 6thAvenue with a casual vibe, big screen TVs, and beer pong and shuffleboard tables, serving 34 beers on tap and a globally-inspired comfort food menu. A walk around the block hits all four bars and restaurants. The Pool House is the hotel’s rooftop lounge, and Oxford Social Club is a vintage nightclub with craft cocktails and curated music situated in the hotel’s basement.

Pendry Hotel Neighborhood

The Gaslamp Quarter reaches from West Broadway at one end to Harbor Drive fronting the San Diego Convention Center at the other, and from 4thto 6thAvenues. This coastal urban neighborhood is Downtown San Diego’s entertainment, culinary, and historic hub.

Visitors will find a plethora of bars, restaurants, and shops from Horton Plaza to the Convention Center, especially along 5thstreet. This is the neighborhood for nightlife. Many of Downtown’s symphony halls, museums, theaters, and art galleries can all be found here.
